Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is full of beautiful paintings and art treasures. Claudia decided this would be the perfect hideaway place. They hid their clothes around the museum so they wouldn't get caught. Visit the Metropolitan Museum website and discover all the art it has inside since it's too far away for a field trip!

This statue is called Andrew Jackson. The artist is Hiram Powers. It was made in 1835. The piece is from Florence. I found this piece in Collections, then I clicked on Browse Highlights. The piece has wrinkles and lots of hair. He is not smiling.

The Dress looks like an old elegent dress that is worn for speshel events. Its medium is silk, it has an elegent but old look to it and has ruffuls at the ends of the sleaves. The artist has made 67280 dresses.
